I've been reading a book tonight about a long walk across the Sonoran Desert, and this looks like the foot of Red Indian shaped by the heat of the hot sandy floor. The book has images shot on Polaroid film by
Mark Klett, about the apparent emptiness of the space and the stories that remain to be told by the landscape.
Check out also his fascinating project on the
American West seen through the perspective of a lens and film.
