Discovered today that a load of images from the Library of Congress are available through Flickr.com, so you might care to have a browse through the archive. You can view some of these direct from the LOC website but they have an appaling interface which makes it near impossible to find what you want.
If you like photography, you'll love the ease with which you can access these beautiful images.
