Miranda pauses for thought in her bouncer. She's getting quite interested in standing up now, so at this rate we're expecting to see her on her feet before we see the first tooth.

Hello Campers!

There's been lots of preparations recently for our camping trip. Lewis is now an expert with the tongs, and Gregory is good at stoking up the camp fire.

Ra(i)sin Corn

Lewis can be very resourceful, and there's nothing that comes between him and his food. He decided that he'd make his own brand of breakfast cereal, even down to mixing the ingredients and putting the box in the cereal cupboard, so he'd get it for breakfast. The packaging is fully detailed including "minerals and vitamins" and all the other info.

The School of Heavy Knocks

Greg had a nasty bump today - ironically he was pretending to do flips on his imaginary skateboard, when he hit the ground head first - his teeth puncturing his lip.

It was a bit of a mess and his chin didn't look much better either

But shortly afterwards he managed to eat his dinner and enjoyed an icecream too!

Smoke on the Water (Part Two)

Lewis excelled himself this morning making his practice time into a duet with Miranda.

We've been having a fair bit of howling of late as it's teething time, but this was a real moment of light!!!

Thrashing it out

Lewis and Greg playing Badminton in the evening light - it was almost resembling a match, with Greg once again having the edge on acurracy and shuttlecock control. Lewis' key weapon is the forearm smash which only works one go in six!

Truck Trader

A fly on the window look at the back seat drivers as they scan the Trucker Trader for bargains! Lewis could tell you how much to pay for a 1988 Transit or 2003 Sprinter, and what to look out for.... He told me today that he'd rather be mucking out pigs that sitting in a Literacy Class. I do elieve him, but let's hope we still have a Farming industry in 10 years time, or he may be freelancing on a Polish Farm...?X!

The sun goes down on Gregory

Also taken last night at Lepe, this catches Greg at his self confident best - cheeky charming and handsome. The next frame he's looking out beyond me for when Lewis is, and the exchange with the camera is gone. The sky was fantastic, but I was to get no second chance!

Friday Freedom!

Sundown at Lepe, and it's getting dark earlier - it's a slightly depressing prospect when this is noticably the case! Nevertheless we had a nice quiet evening and a few chippies on the beach. Greg is busy watching a rib, Lewis scaling the rocks

That's unusual

Greg was bemused by the idea of taking a rear view of him. Couldn't quite take it seriously, consequently my attempt to get an arty shot of those shoulder blades floundered. However I love those little bodies, with everything slightly the wrong proportion.

Jaws

She's like a Great White Shark at the moment - if it goes near her mouth it's in there and gone!

I did, really!

I'm telling you Barry, I saw one over there. I did really!

I'm not sure who gets more fun from our visits down to Barry's menagerie, but they are are always actioned packed - there's always so much to do. Feed the fish, throw the ball for Bentley, play with the chicks, watch the owl on the CCTV, put the animals to bed.....

4 wheel driver

Gregory is particularly cheeky at the moment, ....cheeky as in saucy, and doesn't he know it! He loves eye contact but you don't get many chances to respond, get your picture or it's gone.

Domino the Donkey 2006!

This was taken yesterday, and what a difference. Domino still looks as moody as ever, and Lewis is a fair bit bigger. Greg was supposed to be in this picture but he was very bouncy, and Domino took umbridge and stormed off...!

New chick on the block!

We've been taking a close interest in these chicks at Barry's, which we've seen hatch and grow into a future flock of layers.

The chicks didn't quite know what to make of little Miranda, but sh definitely wanted to get inside and play....

This was taken last night at sundown at the hen house on Frost Lane.

He's still football crazy

Lunchtime football session in progress, and Greg is showing his usual impecable ball control skills... He kicks the basketball like it's an average football, and it's only when you have a camera in one hand you realise just how much power he packs....!

Shiver me timbers

Today it was Greg's last day at Pre-School! He a big boy at last and will be joining Lewis in School from September.

So today it was end of term party, and Greg being offered a chance to dress up - well it's a no-brainer isn't it... Greg wanted to be a Pirate...!

And so did Miranda...!

Lunchtime

Miranda had grated apple and cheese for her lunch today. She's doing a good job with her chewing despite still not having any teeth - or any sign of them appearing just yet! I have only got to raise my camera now and she smiles!

You'll notice thet Miranda's digital dexterity is improving day by day, and I even caught her using her feet to pull herself back upright today - so some of that lardy waist may soon be transformed into muscle...

Hot Wheels

Tonight we're listening to ther Manic Street Preachers for sleepy time music, as Lewis wanted to hear some Welsh music. Not sure if it'll have the desired effect but I'm enjoying it.

Tickle him

An ecstatic Greg; being tickled and holding a ball at the same time. Miranda would hve loved to join in, as this is one of her favourite games too. There's plenty of time, girl!

Feel that energy

It's Lewi again playing his guitar, it's amazing to see all that animation come with the confidence of being able to make the guitar make the noises you want. Keep it up Tiger and I'll look forward to sitting in the front row one day...

Victorian Farmer

Today Lewis had a school trip to Manor Farm, where it was a "Victorian Day" and they all went in period costume!

Lewis milked a cow called Snowdrop by hand, and saw some vintage tractors in action. He also identified the oldest tractor on the farm, so all that studying books has paid off!

He also ground some flour by hand - I wonder if we're going to have Pizza for Tea...

Playing games

As Miranda starts to get the hang of movement, there's nothing more fun than trying to get her to chase me around. She'll keep it up for a good fifteen minutes, before the frustration sets in.

Not sure this needs any words, so here it is...

It's easy to forget that you have a passenger when you are building sand castles, and Miranda has been known to appear over the top from time to time - good job she's got a seat belt!

Does she look bothered - no she does not!
