Ms Rolly Polly
As Miranda can nearly roll over on her own, I'm going to have to get some action shots of her up soon. But for the time being here's another shot of her post numnums smile. Perhaps a before shot would be an amusing contrast ....not! It would be a howler.

Idle moments
Today's pic was shot on Sunday, and it's one of those spontaneous larking around moments, that I just seemed to capture. The boys think they are goats.... all it takes is a few words and they start buffing their heads together like Blacky and Whitey....
Slightly arty post processing of this image to give it a bit more edge.

Another milestone for Gregory
Well what a day!
Gregory took the stabilisers challenge head on - and went from no stabilisers to riding up and down the road to tackling turning and even ....stunting off the pavement!
It has to be said he fell off when he tackled the last bit - but everythuing else was done with style. He's a champion rider in the making.....
Well done Greg!

Daytrip to London
Today we all went to London for a day out! We had a nice walk on Hyde Park before visiting the Natural History Museum. Here's Gregory and Miranda with a Brontosaurus for scale...
After a full day at the museum we even packed in a walk down the South Bank with dinner at Gabriels Wharf.... good job we had the day off on Monday to recover!

Fingers
Miranda's fingers tend to move quite quickly, and unless she gets them where she wants them there'll be wails of frustration to follow. It's more tricky than you'd imagine taking pictures with one hand and using the other to create a composition.

Little Knight
Greg went off to school today dressed as a knight, here he goes skipping along... off to do his business!
I tried to do a portrait of him in his outfit but the helmet comes down over his eyes, so it made him look a bit strange.

Eye aye!
The devil is in the detail, so they say. This is the devil himself, young Gregory
Hopefully this will develop into a series of details. I once saw a fantastic portrait of a child's back - so that's the next challenge...

Miranda at 6 months
Miranda's half birthday, and doesn't time fly! Today has been very wet and we've been housebound, but just been down to the beach for some fresh air and the sun came out... So we had a nice walk and watched the surf duders

3 ducks in a row
It's not often you get all three in one picture - they move too fast, or end up fighting!
Not sure if that row or row....

Ve haf vays.....
Greg practicing the look, but tonight he almost got a thick ear for practicing a gesture which Lewis had taught him. Not one for backing down when he's cornered Greg can only see the funny side, even when the tears are running down his face.

Lunch al fresco
We've had lunch in the garden a few times this week - a sure sign that summer is nearly here! Miranda's been a little off colour, and there's been no time for snapping - hence the break in posts over the last week.
Hopefully, for the sake of our beauty sleep, we will be back to normal shortly.

Banana Splits
Chatted to a woman earlier about the perception of Vegetarianism being unhealthy. She was amused that so many people failed to see the advantages, and was thrilled to meet Lewis and Gregory who were busy introducing her to the animals down at Barry's sanctuary. So this is Lewis doing his favourite pastime eating.

Out on the range
One of those " What Venture would do if they didn't have a White backdrop" moments. It almost looks like the Wild West, but there no Colorado River running through it...

The original smoothie!
Tiger enjoying a post supper Smoothie. He's looking appropriately hippyish here!
Tonight we had a game of "Pop to the Shops" before bedtime, and it was raining so no bike riding was had. We had fancied going down to the shore to see the Cruise Liner being towed in, but apart from the rain, I dont think it came in until 9.30pm

Looney tunes
He's getting very excited about something, but Lord if I can remember what it was all about! I think I'll start a series called the many moods of Greg .... Didn't take this picture today as I've been out all day - and frankly only saw Greg to say goodbye and goodnight.

Lunch is all the fashion
Miranda in one of her "off the chin" numbers. If you look closely you can see three courses, but not necessarily in that order.

Where the woozle wasn't
I must try capturing some of the "agro and tension" moments for the blog because life certainly isn't all Pooh Bear fun and games.
For the moment though, let's dwell on the magical. Greg jabbering away to Lewis as they stroll through the forest - he seems desperate to be a big boy like Lewi!

Prepare to meet your match
I took this picture on Saturday, and it shows Greg in typical chainsaw frenzy - what we have done to deserve such a tree chopping individual I dont know. I suspect that this poor tree has been chopped at a few times in it's history, and seen off all the whippersnappers!
Just look at the trees here, they are beauties!
Updated on 7th May to record a note from Radio 4 Open Country this week which stated that an oak tree 10M in Diameter is over a 1000 years old - makes you wonder what this tree has seen go past - apparently the bulbous base is a sign of a heavily pollarded tree.

Chain Saw fun
Seconds before Greg had been attacking a fallen tree with this particular chainsaw. His expression when he's engrossed is capivating, and I'm alway trying to record it - this however .....is the moment I captured.
