The day started today with a delicious fruitbread that Lewis baked yesterday, having been inspired by the Town Mill Bakery in Lyme Regis. I am pleased to report that Lewis' was just as good as the real McCoy, indeed it was the real McCoy.There was a knock on my workroom door mid morning, so I responded sharply "Go away and come back at lunchtime!" but the excited giggles on the other side told me that some skullduggery was afoot.
Of course the kids were dressed up and wanted me to take a photo, so naturally who am I to decline?
